JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Nov. 01, 2019) <\/strong>\u2013\u00a0Suddath\u00ae<\/sup>, a leading global transportation, relocation and logistics company, is a proud participant in this year\u2019s Mister Rogers\u2019 Neighborhood Sweater Drive, partnering with WJCT<\/a>, Vystar Credit Union<\/a> and the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships<\/a> to collect gently-used sweaters to be donated to area nonprofit organizations including the Clara White Mission, Trinity Rescue Mission and St. Vincent\u2019s Mobile Outreach Unit for migrant workers, in addition to many other First Coast community service organizations. The drive is celebrating 17 years of giving back to those in need and honoring the memory of the legendary Fred Rogers by making the \u201cneighborhood\u201d a little brighter.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhilanthropy is a large part of the foundation our company was built on,\u201d said Dick Eschbacher, president and general manager of Suddath Jacksonville<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to do our part to help those in need in our community<\/a>, and this event will make a huge difference, keeping them warm this winter.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sweater drive runs through November 30, and collects gently-used sweaters, jackets and blankets. The cold-weather items will be donated to designated nonprofits in Duval, Clay, St. Johns and Nassau counties.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach year, WJCT honors the legacy of Fred Rogers with the Mister Rogers\u2019 Neighborhood Sweater Drive,\u201d explained David McGowan, president and CEO of WJCT Public Media. \u201cWe encourage everyone to embrace the neighborly spirit and donate a sweater or jacket in support of those in need throughout our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, the generous people of the Jacksonville area donated more than 10,000 sweaters and other items to this cause. Suddath will be using its moving trucks for collecting donated items, as well as delivering them to the nonprofits. Items can be dropped off at all participating locations.<\/p>\n
